In partnership with Regenerative Investment, BOMA Investments and Fundo Bem Comum FCR, WeChangers is the first startup to receive investment from the Social Innovation Fund, in a round that will allow WeChangers to raise up to 1 million euros.
WeChangers is a global startup whose mission is to empower individuals, communities and organizations, working on solutions to create a better world.
In order to map and connect the entire impact ecosystem, it has developed an open, global and collaborative platform that brings together updated projects and data on world changers – social organizations, foundations, impact investors and corporations – providing them with tools that promote learning, networking and new opportunities for collaboration among all.
Through the platform you can search what you are looking for, filtering organizations by area, location or SDGs, connecting with other organizations, events, projects and potential co-investors.
About the co-investors
Regenerative Investment was founded in 2012 with the objective of investing in companies / projects that combine innovation and impact, with a view to a better and more sustainable world. It is part of some of the main global networks of philanthropists and social investors, and has so far invested in the most varied sectors, namely, art and fashion, design, technologies, alternative energies or real estate. In geographic terms, its activity is concentrated in the USA, Europe and Asia.
BOMA Investments was founded in 2009 as an impact investment vehicle for the Boehm Family Office, focusing on companies in the early stage phase that need capital to test a product / service or to scale their activity. It has already made more than 130 investments, in more than 50 companies located on the five continents, that cover the various SDGs of the United Nations Agenda 2030.
Fundo Bem Comum FCR was created to promote sustainable employment for unemployed people over the age of 40, seeking to encourage the dynamism of private initiative by them and also seeking to stimulate social entrepreneurship. In addition to financing, promoters have access to specialized support.
About Social Innovation Fund
Social Innovation Fund is a public policy instrument financed by the European Social Fund through Compete2020, designed to enhance and support innovation and social entrepreneurship initiatives, that develop innovative, impactful and sustainable responses to solve societal problems.
Applications for SIF Equity are open, and the opening of applications for SIF DEBT is expected to start during May.
