The Social Innovation Fund (SIF) is managed by PME Investimentos, a state-owned financial institution, subject to the supervision of the Bank of Portugal, which has been operating in the corporate financing market for almost 30 years.
Its mission is to encourage and promote the extension of the offering of public policy financial instruments to companies, thus stimulating entrepreneurship, innovation, competitiveness and the internationalisation of the Portuguese business sector.
To this end, and to ensure sustainable financing, PME Investimentos plays a consolidated role, both in debt and equity financial instruments, in all corporate segments and regardless of the size of the companies, such as micro-enterprises, startups, SMEs, midcaps and large companies.
This diversity allows PME Investimentos to quickly and effectively introduce financial products in the market and reach companies, focused on maximizing value, which it improves thanks to its underlying and distinctive competencies.
